Be a Hero! - Support our lab team to cure mitochondrial diseases!

This October, the Ryan Lab will participate as the “Monash MitoLab” in the 2016 edition of the Bloody Long Walk, a 35km challenge to raise money to cure mitochondrial diseases.

Mutations in the mitochondrial DNA play a pivotal factor in numerous human diseases, including pathogenic neurodegenerative, cardiac and ophthalmological manifestations.
Understanding and diagnosing mitochondrial diseases and symptoms remain key challenges in the scientific and medical research.

Despite great advancements in recent years to understand the molecular, genetic and metabolic mechanisms and pathways that govern symptoms, further basic and applied research is needed to unravel the entire picture of mitochondrial diseases.

As part of the scientific community, we want to send a signal and raise money for this important cause. Be part of this journey and participate by supporting our team in this fundraising event.
